Willunga Hill has been having its worst ever season for injuries. After 23 races this season, the squad has had 8 injuries. The disruptive influence on race planning has been felt, with a TF already having been affected.
Management hopes the team's luck turns as we move into the Norway Tour, where old campaigner and founding member of the team, Shane Austin, looks for a last hurrah as a TF captain. Retirement beckons for the 38 year old, but his request for one last go at obtaining a good tour result has been accommodated.
Post his TF period, Austin will step into the training role held by Bagoly Gabor, who has served nearly 12 seasons now and will step down, his effectiveness having waned this past season.
